A leading wealth advisory and management firm in the Middle-East, sought to create a mobile app that would empower Relationship Managers (RMs) to simulate financial projections effortlessly and streamline client onboarding. The goal was to enhance their service quality and improve the client experience.

Objective

Our primary objective was to facilitate a discovery workshop to identify the current pain points for the relationship managers, and explore solutions to provide more personalized and efficient services.

Approach

Discovery workshop with stakeholders

We initiated the project with a discovery workshop involving key stakeholders. The sessions helped us gain valuable insights into their specific needs, challenges, and expectations of the users.

Identifying persona

Our next step was identifying the primary persona - the Relationship Managers. Understanding their roles and responsibilities was pivotal in tailoring our approach effectively.

Design audit

The design audit of the RM app enabled us to identify key opportunities to refine the user onboarding experience. This was achieved through meticulously analyzing user journeys, understanding business metrics, and studying interface elements. Further, we identified enhancements that promised a more intuitive and simplified customer onboarding journey
for the RM's.

Use case

Kareem starts his day by opening the app, which gives him a dashboard view of the latest market trends, news, and updates relevant to his clients’ portfolios. As he prepares for his meetings, he uses the app to quickly generate updated financial reports for each client, tailored to their specific portfolios and interests.

 

During a client meeting, Kareem accesses the client’s portfolio on his app, showing real-time data and performance metrics. He discusses potential investment opportunities, using the app’s interactive tools to simulate different investment scenarios based on the client’s risk tolerance and financial goals. Post-meeting, Kareem uses the app to send a summary of their discussion to the client, including potential action items. The app’s integrated communication tools allow him to schedule follow-up tasks and reminders.

A streamlined, intuitive onboarding process that quickly captures client information, clearly explains our services, and effortlessly guides users through account setup and initial investment options would make our life much easier.

Onboarding journey

Mapping the user journey enabled us to identify critical touch points where the app could enhance the RM's workflow. We ensured that the user experience was intuitive and efficient.

Personalized dashboard

RMs could customize their dashboards to display client portfolios, financial goals, and relevant data for informed decision-making.

Financial goal planning

The app facilitated goal-based planning, allowing RMs to simulate various financial scenarios and present personalized strategies to clients.

Seamless onboarding

The onboarding process was streamlined, with digital document submission and e-signatures for a smooth client experience.
